Ministries
Every Christian should experience the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatuis, and Christian communities should become authentic schools of prayer. -Pope John Paul II.
These ministries are our community’s response to Vatican II and the call in John Paul II’s apostolic letter to the laity, Christifideles Laici. The call of Christ, has summoned all the lay faithful to labor in “the vineyard.”
As a response to this call, we have certified Spiritual Directors, School of Healing Prayer, Healing prayer teams, retreat ministry and other ministries to help in the formation of the Catholic faithful.
Ignatian Exercises
The Spiritual Exercises are a collection of mediations, prayers, and contemplative practices developed by St Ignatuis of Loyola (1522-1524) to help deepen our relationship with God and to learn how to see His grace active in our daily lives. St. Ignatius organized the Exercises into four weeks. These are not 7-day weeks but stages on a journey to spiritual freedom, a wholehearted personal commitment to follow Him and to serve in the Kingdom of God. These Spiritual Exercises are lead by a certified Spiritual Director either in a month long setting or a 9 month long program.

Spiritual Direction
One of the main charisms that has been birthed by the Lord is our call to Spiritual Direction. Marian Servants of the Blessed Sacrament has nine Spiritual Directors, who have been certified by The Cenacle of our Lady of Divine Providence School of Spiritual Direction, which is affiliated with Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Each of our directors uses the Ignatian Prayer format recommended by St Ignatius of Loyola. Spiritual Direction is for Christians who desire a deeper relationship with the Lord, who are willing to spend quiet time praying with scripture, recognize and listen to His voice, journal their prayer time and share this experience with another person. The goal of Spiritual Direction is to help recognize how the Holy Spirt is working in their lives, thus developing an active prayer life, where a more docile and surrendered spirit emerges.
